Shiveluch Volcano, Russia ~ Lava Dome ~ February 12, 2019

Rates : 6

If you watch closely in the first seconds of this recording there is an avalanche that covers the front of the lava dome area and it’s blown off in less than two minutes! The wind must be blowing 70 miles an hour. This camera gives one frame a minute and that’s it. Remember the lava dome is 600 meters high, that’s 1,900+ feet tall. And it’s in danger of collapse.
